Tasting French wine

Some wines travel through the cells of your body. They release pleasure, a smile, and passion.

Elegantly dressed in an expensive suit. His shirt is ironed. With his polished shoes on, he walks around in his old castle.

This is how I have pictured a French wine producer. The one who is able to sell wines that Chineese, Americans and Norwegians are willing to pay not only hundreds of dollars, but thousands, for one bottle.

I have been sceptical to these Frenchmen. I like a man who sweats when he works, who is using his muscles, smells of a bondfire rather than expensive perfume, and who talks a language I understand.

In my travel «the good wine life», I am tasting so many good wines. Something has happened. The Frenchmen have evoked something in me. Some of them are so inviting. If you let yourself be seduced, language is not important. The language of wine doesn’t need words, only feelings.

I just want to stand there and smell him. Let him fill my mouth with pleasures. It doesn’t matter where he lives and how he is dressed. I am flirting because all I want is to drink his wine. 

Wineproduction is expensive and time-consuming. I know from experience. There are so many hours of work during the year. There are investments in new equipment. I admire those who actually are able to make good wines and wh o can make it their income.

Actually, I am just envious of those Frenchmen with castles. I bow my head in respect. Some of them have used generations to produce the wine that they are now making. Some of these wines, you probably need to order. I think it is worth it. Flirt! Feel the passion! Enjoy!

Three french wines I have recently tasted:  

Condrieu La Doriane 2015, E. Guigal, Rhône. 2015. 700 Norwegian kroner (Nkr). White wine.
Imagine yourself entering a beautiful floral store. You are swept in aromas of familiar and unfamiliar flowers. In the mouth they explode. I wine you will not forget. A great gift for an anniversary, the gardener, or why not buy it for your self. This is a wine that will take you and your lover to the heights. You can even save it for some years for a special occasion.

Ch. Lanessan 2008, Haut-Médoc, Bordeaux. Nkr 249,90. Red wine. 
There are flames in the fireplace. The candles are lit. You just want to look him in the eyes and give in. Be careful with whom you share this wine. Make sure you want to wake up with him tomorrow. Here everything can happen. Look at the castle on the bottle, and dream. The chief of the castle is a woman. A lovely blend of berries, vanilla and spice. Smell it, I am sure you will find more. A classical Bordeaux.

Crémant de Bourgogne Brut Baron Aime, Bejot, Burgund. Nkr 154. 
Your body quiver. You long for a cheerful moment. Actually, you want Champagne. But it’s not the day for spending too much on a wine. Here is an affordable crémant. It is made in the champagne-method. You can feel the bakery as in a champagne. It is fresh, and gives you apples and citrus. Even if it is a weekday, this one can get you and your companion in that mood you are seeking.
